Privacy Policy

PromoteMe ("we", "us", the "Platform") provides tools to plan, create, approve, schedule, publish and report on social media content. There are two account types: Clients (business owners) and Freelancers/Agencies (who may also invite team members).

Account data: your name, email address, password, chosen interface language and avatar.

Business (Objekt) data: business name, industry/category and location you enter for each business you manage.

Connected social account data: the platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), the account handle, and follower counts. Social accounts are linked through each network's secure authorisation flow, so publishing is performed with an authorisation you grant to PromoteMe rather than by storing your social passwords.

Content data: posts and stories, titles, captions, overlay text, uploaded images/media, hashtags, scheduling times, approval status and rejection reasons.

Messaging data: messages exchanged between Clients, freelancers and team members, including any images or documents you attach.

Analytics data: follower history, engagement rate and reach figures used for dashboards and reports.

AI usage data: the prompts you submit for AI generation and your AI-token usage counters.

Reports: the reports you generate and the section choices you make for them.

To provide the service: creating and organising content, scheduling and publishing to your connected social networks, collaboration and messaging between Clients and freelancers, analytics and report generation.

To generate content with AI when you request it (captions, descriptions and images), which involves processing your prompt and related business context.

To operate features you turn on, such as automatic report sending on a schedule you choose, and notifications you enable in Settings.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR.

Performance of a contract: to create your account and provide the Platform features you sign up for — content creation, scheduling, publishing, collaboration, analytics and reports.

Consent: for optional features you switch on, such as AI content generation, scheduled report sending and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

Legitimate interests: to keep the Platform secure, prevent abuse and maintain and improve the service, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

Legal obligation: to meet accounting, tax and other legal requirements, for example retaining invoices.

When you connect a social account and approve or schedule content, you authorise PromoteMe to publish that content to the relevant network on your behalf. Once published, content and the resulting interactions are also subject to that social network's own terms and privacy policy.

Between collaborators: a Client's data is shared with the freelancer/agency assigned to that business, and with any team members that freelancer adds to the workspace.

With social networks: content is published to the networks you connect, using the authorisation you grant when connecting each account.

With AI providers: prompts and related content may be processed by AI model providers to generate results.

Sub-processors: we use trusted providers to run the Platform — hosting and database (Render), file/media storage (Cloudflare R2), transactional email (Resend), payment processing (Stripe), AI content generation (OpenAI, Fal), and the social networks and publishing partners you connect (Meta/Instagram/Facebook/Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and aggregation partners).

International transfers: some providers are located outside the EU/EEA (e.g. in the United States). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

We otherwise disclose data only where required to operate the Platform or by law.

Data is stored in the Platform backend and, for session and preference purposes, in your browser (see the Cookies notice). We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required.

When you delete your account (or ask us to), we permanently delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep longer to meet legal obligations (for example invoicing and tax records).

You can view and edit your account and business details in Settings. Freelancers can export a snapshot of their data (profile, clients, posts) from Settings → Privacy & data in JSON, PDF, text or Word format.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data from Settings → Privacy & data, or by emailing info@promotemee.com from your account address; see the Data Deletion page for details. We complete deletion within 30 days.

Where applicable under the GDPR, you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them, contact info@promotemee.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

The Platform is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old, or older where your country's law requires a higher age, to use it.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@promotemee.com and we will delete it.

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organisational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Social accounts are connected through each network's authorisation flow rather than by storing your social passwords.
